About Us

Derek Hatcher Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and our mission is to raise awareness of substance abuse and addiction.

Derek's mother, Debbie Rizer, along with Derek's friends and family, fight courageously to end the opioid epidemic by sharing Derek's powerful words.

Derek Hatcher Foundation has educated many students and parents about the dangers of drugs, helped children of addicts, foster children and underprivileged children, by providing necessities and holiday gifts. In addition, we speak to legislators about the need for more awareness about fentanyl and other deadly drugs that are destroying our families and communities.
